Robert Inklaar is a PhD student at the University of Groningen since 2002.
Before that he worked at The Conference Board in New York for a year as
a research assistant. As an undergraduate at Groningen he also worked as
a research assistant at the Groningen Growth and Development Centre (GGDC).
The topic of his dissertation will be the economic performance of Europe
and the United States and the role of ICT. This work includes work on the
impact of ICT on productivity performance as well as the impact of ICT on
business cycle movements. Most of the work will have an empirical focus
and constructing and applying industry productivity datasets is important
in this respect.
