Pensions, Savings and Household Behaviour

sk Pensions, savings and household behaviour are studied as part of our work at the interface between micro-economic and macro-economic research.

We are currently looking at the effects of means testing on labour supply and saving behaviour of people close to retirement.

We are also working on questions of household debt designed to explore what levels of indebtedness are appropriate for households in different circumstances and how indebtedness interacts with bankruptcy regulations.

Much of this work is funded by the Department of Work and Pensions.
