WERS98 USER GROUP


The WERS98 Data Dissemination Service User Group aims to encourage the exchange of ideas, problems and solutions between users of the WERS98 data. The user community is intended to include those with first-hand experience of analysing the data, those making use of the tabulation services and all other interested parties, such as the supervisors of PhD students using WERS98.

The User Group primarily functions through a series of meetings. Meetings follow a similar format to those organised by other survey user groups, comprising presentations from the Data Dissemination Service to outline developments, and presentations from invited speakers on methods of analysis or WERS98-based research. The first meeting took place on the 3rd March 2000; the second on 30th March 2001; and the third on 7th December 2001. All were held at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR).
