You can find all our research on Britain's Brexit negotiations here. This covers three key areas:
- the macroeconomic impacts of leaving the EU. We produce and maintain NiGEM, our macroeconomic model, which was used by both HM Treasury and the OECD to analyse the impacts of the UK leaving the EU, so we are uniquely well placed both to provide an independent, objective assessment and to comment on those of others;
- immigration and free movement. We are undertaking both quantitative and qualitative research into the impact of migration on the UK labour market and the possible impact of future policy changes. In addition, we have analysed UK migration statistics and contributed extensively to the ongoing debate on their reliability;
- impact on trade and the financial sector. We are examining the impacts of different types of trade deals on the volume of trade with particular reference to the financial sector, and the implications for financial stability in the UK.
