Why is globalisation being rejected? What will a world ruled by rival states with conflicting aims look like? And will the pursuit of nationalist agendas result in a race to the bottom?

These are among the questions addressed in his latest book by renowned economist Stephen King, who is a Senior Economic Adviser at HSBC and a NIESR Trustee.

Join us for a drink reception at which Nicholas Macpherson, the former Permanent Secretary to the Treasury and cross-bench peer, will introduce the book in conversation with Stephen King.

The book, published by Yale University Press, will be available to purchase.
