You are invited to attend a press briefing on Thursday 9th June at which we will present NIESR's latest research on the impact of leaving the EU on low income households.

The economic consequences of the UK referendum on its EU membership are central to the debate. One issue which has been omitted from the macroeconomic and sector specific assessments to date is the possible effect of leaving the EU on the welfare support for low income households. On June 9th NIESR will be publishing new research by Angus Armstrong, Katerina Lisenkova and Simon Lloyd which quantifies a stylised impact of leaving the EU on different categories of low income households due to fiscal changes.

The research will be launched at a briefing for press and policymakers at NIESR on Thursday 9th June, chaired by Angus Armstrong.
