Scotland’s Currency Options

NIESR presents currency options paper to major Edinburgh economics conference.

Dr Angus Armstrong, director of macroeconomics at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research, today presents his paper on Scotland's Currency Options to the International Conference on the Economics of Constitutional Change in Edinburgh.

The conference, part of the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC)'s Future of the UK and Scotland activities, has been organised by ESRC Fellow Professor David Bell, and his economics team at the University of Stirling.

A full copy of Dr. Armstrong's paper is attached. As well as Dr Armstrong's paper, researchers from the Institute for Fiscal Studies are also presenting their findings on public spending in Scotland, and Professor David Bell and his team present work on migration between Scotland and the rest of the UK.
