At NIESR we have a strong programme of research into education, training and skills from Early Years provision upwards, including interventions in schools to improve outcomes for disadvantaged children.
We seek better to understand – and ultimately to help improve – education and skills policy by evaluating the impact of policy options compared to a range of alternatives . By linking data from a variety of sources, including individual education and skills data from Central Government registers, and using both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, we ensure our work is based in a real-world context.
