The University of Warwick
The University of Warwick and the National Institute for Economic and Social Research have signed a Memorandum of Understanding which enables both parties to collaborate for mutual benefit on a number of objectives. The partnership will be co-ordinated through Warwick in London and will look to operate in a few areas including research, teaching and public engagement. Research topics include macroeconomics, finance, health, housing, inequality and education.
Collaboration can include public engagement events and joint workshops, and the arrangement also includes space at the NIESR offices for Warwick staff. NIESR and Warwick will also look to produce joint briefings, reports and run joint events as well as deliver short courses for the public and private sectors. The collaboration can also benefit students on several fronts with plans for NIESR staff to give lectures on recent developments in the UK economy, modelling, forecasting, national accounts, flow of funds and the financial sector. There will also be research opportunities for PhD students.
