Research interests: 

Arno no longer works at NIESR

Arno is a member of the Macroeconomic Modelling and Forecasting team. His interest lies in empirical macroeconomics and his research focuses on sovereign credit risk, fiscal policy, labour market dynamics and the economics and politics of the European Monetary Union.

Education: 

2017 – PhD in Economics, University of Nottingham

2012 – Msc in Economics and International Economics, University of Nottingham

2011 – BA in Political Science and Economics, Universities of Muenster (Germany) and Bergen (Norway)

Employment: 

Arno joined NIESR in 2017. He has previously worked at the European Stability Mechanism, the European Central Bank, DIW econ Berlin, HWWI Hamburg, Deutsche Bank Research, the European Commission, and the State Chancellery of Saxony.
