Dr. Matt Bursnall
Matt is a statistician by training, having achieved a doctorate in statistics in 2001. For most of his professional career Matt has combined statistics expertise with economic and social theory to focus on applied econometrics. Matt is an expert on the English Further Education sector and how it seeks to improve the supply of skilled labour and strengthen the UK economy, having worked as a government analyst supporting FE policy development for 14 years. Matt’s main research interests are education, labour markets and equality of access to rewarding and respectful employment. Matt believes that the best research happens when analysts work collaboratively with experts in the field.
