Rebecca Riley is a Fellow of the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR). She is also the Director of the UK Economic Statistics Centre of Excellence (ESCoE), an independent research centre established in 2017 to address emerging and future issues in measuring the economy and to act as a focal point for discourse on economic measurement. Previously Rebecca led the productivity research group and the UK forecast team at the NIESR. She has written extensively on UK productivity performance and labour market policy. She has been an external advisor to several government departments and public bodies, including the Department for Work and Pensions and the Office for National Statistics.
