Kemar is a member of the Macroeconomic Modelling and Forecasting team. His current research focuses on financial stability and macroprudential regulation and supervision. He is also interested in research that informs economic policy debates and influences policy decision-making.

Kemar joined NIESR in 2019. He has previously worked at the Central Bank of Jamaica. He has also held various teaching and research positions at the University of Sheffield and The University of the West Indies.
