This workshop forms part of the project “UK skills and productivity in an international context” which NIESR has been commissioned to carry out by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills. The project seeks to improve our understanding of the role of skills for productivity and growth in the UK, and to compare the UK’s experience with developments in other major global economies. The workshop is intended to bring together policymakers, researchers and academics to discuss the most relevant methodological approaches and to help frame the scope and relevance of the research. The workshop will be led by Mary O’Mahony (King’s College London and NIESR) and Ana Rincon-Aznar (NIESR). The agenda and a short background note will be circulated prior to the event. Date: Tuesday 3 March Time: 2-4 pm - followed by a light snack Venue: National Institute of Economic and Social Research, 2 Dean Trench St, Smith Square, London SW1P 3HE
