Occasional Papers

The National Institute of Economic and Social Research occasional paper series has a long and prestigious heritage, with the first being published in 1942 and exploring population statistics.  Between 1942 and 2004, 57 occasional papers were released covering subjects such as pension reform, productivity, migration and education.

Reinvigorated in 2019, the series comprises working papers that are published when completed and contribute to the current debate.
