The combination of rising prices, stagnant economic growth and a reduction in real wages, has driven a renewed interest in living standards. This forum, which brings together representatives from across the policymaking, business, and research arenas, aims to examine some of the latest trends in regional and household-level inequalities, specific educational inequalities and unequal access of migrants to public services. Our focus is on alternative policies to reduce inequality and enhance well-being, especially of vulnerable groups, by channelling investment in both people and places.
Please note that this event will be held under Chatham House Rule and is invite only.
We are grateful to the Nuffield Foundation for funding some of the research underpinning the Living Standards Forum.
