We are delighted to invite you to our Spring 2022 press briefing, at which we will present and discuss NIESR’s latest forecasts on the UK and global economies, with an opportunity for you to ask questions.
Ahead of the Chancellor’s autumn statement, we are delighted to invite you to our Autumn 2022 press briefing, taking place on Friday 11th November from 11:30am to 12:30pm.
Join us to hear an impartial analysis on the state of the UK economy through a presentation of the findings from our latest independent forecasts. We will explore some of the challenges facing the Chancellor as he prepares his plans for the following Thursday. Are spending cuts necessary at this time? What effect does the energy price guarantee have, and is there a better way of supporting poorer households? And what could the Chancellor do to raise growth?
With the help of our senior members of staff we will seek to answer these questions; briefly exploring the role of the global economy before focusing on the impact recent events have had at both a UK, and individual household, level.
