Join us, the day after the Chancellor’s autumn statement, to hear our analysis of the measures announced and their likely impact at both a UK, and individual household, level.

Utilising the findings from our forthcoming autumn quarterly forecast, which provides an authoritative independent assessment into both the UK and global economies, our senior economists will provide a reaction to the government’s policy choices, as well as explore possible alternatives. Are the expected spending cuts necessary at this time? Have those hardest-hit households been adequately supported given the rising costs of both food and energy? What could the Chancellor, and his advisers, have done differently?

Joining Stephen Millard and Arnab Bhattacharjee to discuss these topics will be David Miles, a member of the Budget Responsibility Committee of the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) and NIESR Visitor.

Alongside the presentations there will be an opportunity to ask questions. Register below to gain a greater insight into the outlook for the UK economy.
